Devious Journal EntryThis time last year there was one thing i was thinking about, and that was my up and coming race out in switzerland. School didn't matter much and i spent all the time i could trainning. I then had a total of 8 weeks off school the first of which i spent in swtzerland for the pre world championships, unfortunately i didn't race in one of the races and defently didn't do my best in the other due to injury. Following this i had 6 weeks spending as little time at home as i could, mostly i was away travelling. Then to end the summer i went out to France kayaking, again due to my previous injury I didn't do as much as i had intended. The majourity of that autumn involved alot of physio and not much else of much interest, by Christmas i was back on the water. I enjoyed a great christmas and coming into spring i was starting to paddle alot more again, however by now school started to matter as i realised i needed to do well in my exams. a combination of school work and my dad breaking variouse bones and therefore being unable to drive ment my performance went down hill in my kayaking. as you can probably tell kayaking is my prefered thing to spend time doing.
more recently i have been doing my exams, and then just this last weekend went for selection to try and get onto the Great British team to go to the world championships, unfortunately this didn't go very well and i'm now very unlikely to b going. so for now concentrating on finishing exams and then hopefully another summer of travelling, kayaking and spending time up in the lakes.
